In 2025 we taught year 1 all the way to year 6 at Belmont castle Academy each year group had one week of swimming lessons. Each child made 100% tracked progress in every year group. with each year group having one week of swimming lessons this allowed us to focus on getting them swimming and improving different strokes, whilst also making swimming fun and enjoyable.

Year 1
In year 1 24% of the year group was duckling 2 and above at the start, but by the end of the week this increased to 84% of the year group being duckling 2 and above.
Year 2
In year 2 33% of the swimmers could swim unaided by the end of the week. 100% of the swimmers made tracked progress.

Year 3
In year 3 46% of the swimmers cam swim unaided by the end of the week as well as 20% of them being able to swim 25 meters or more.
Year 5
in year 5 42% of the year can swim 25 Meters+ along side 70% of the swimmers swimming unaided by the end of the one week.
Year 6
In year 6 88.3% of the year can swim unaided as well as 20% of the swimmers swimming 25 Meters and more after there week with us.
Year 4
In year 4 62% of swimmers can swim unaided.as well as 37% of them being able to swim 25 meters and more by the end of the week.
